Kinsey Turns One!

Wow! What a journey this has been! We knew this day would come that our baby girl would turn one. We have been celebrating since yesterday and will be throughout the weekend when her birthday party takes place. Yesterday we went to a place in town called Party Station which is a play place; they also have birthday parties and events there but during the week it's just for play. Kinsey had so much fun playing with Ella and the best part was there weren't but three other kids there, so they pretty much had free reign of the place. Then last night Rocky decided to eat some rat poison that we have had to put out due to some little field mice that won't go away. Thanks to Kelli and Becky Lee's wonderful advice Andy gave Rocky Hydrogen Peroxide to pretty much pump his stomach. So, this morning we made a trip to the vet for a Vitamin K shot and some blood work. The good news is Rocky is doing well.

After the vet's office, we went with Rachel and Lorelai for a special lunch. Where did we go? None other than our favorite quick spot of Sonic. I wanted to order Kinsey something off of the menu for a "big girl" lunch for today. She had about a quarter of a grilled cheese sandwich and loved it. This picture shows her in Rachel's van turned around facing forward watching a video with Lorelai and eating her sandwich. She's not big enough yet to turn around, so we have to keep her facing backwards, but while we were at Sonic, she was able to watch the movie with Lorelai. She loved every minute of it.

The rest of the day was full of play. We just enjoyed being at home and playing with her toys. Lately she likes playing with her bathtub she used to bathe in, so that acts like a boat. I move her around in it and she laughs a belly laugh.

Tonight after supper Kinsey opened two presents. We gave her one gift that was too big to open, so her smaller gift from us and one that came in the mail from Uncle Glen and Aunt Linda she opened. This was funny. Andy was trying to show her how to open and she just wanted to play with the package; there was no interest in opening the thing to get the gift out. This weekend will be interesting; we have a feeling we'll be doing most of the opening. As long as she has fun, it totally won't matter!

Thanks to everyone for their calls, texts, cards, lunch from Rachel and Lorelai, and the one special song message Kinsey received from Erin, Cole, and Ella.....PRICELESS! We appreciate your thinking of Kinsey on her birthday. I'm guessing every year goes by this fast????

Kinsey's one today? I thought we were just going to Sonic because of some craving you were having. I would have taken you all somewhere nicer.
